There are just not enough words to describe how uninspired I
am to write/post/blog about anything whatsoever. There are people who get away
with pretty much anything from microscopic geckos to photos taken at the
Schipol airport…I’m afraid I’m not that kind. Technically, I could dedicate a
whole post to how my cat just managed to rip a curtain in two …or how I’m going
to the avant-premiere of the animated film festival to see the Miyazaki’s “From
up on Poppy Hill” …or how me + Japanese friend want to start a band and I’m
thinking to fit somewhere between Julia Holter and Grimes…all those fucking
girlie hipsters are doing the same thing that Patrick Wolf did back in 2003…and no shame I’m one of them.
Resolutions? Just a few things I will do, without any accent
of the improbable…that’s why I prefer not to call them ‘resolutions’.
I will not blog as much as before, hardly ever – it’s old. I’d
rather read a book (that’s a resolution though).
I will launch a tiny online boutique dedicated to local
music releases, diy zines, objects and
clothing, naturally. Nothing you’ve ever heard about, but still quality products
conceived with as much soul as skill.
I will finally go to a hairdresser.
I will train a steady hand sewing, learn to use the correct
tools like a hem foot, and provide my tiny atelier with all the necessary
paraphernalia…making samples – the world domination plans are for the anno 2013…and
will probably remain a ‘resolution’.
in this time of the year i never do much effort to make my place look like it's christmas, but i do so much effort to decorate it in the most puzzling way ever and call all this oddness christmas decoration.
Today I felt like I needed to breath the cold digital winter air…I felt that my current position in blogosphere was suffocating me…I took a ride out into the infinite snowy fields and filled my lungs anew…and I felt that I needed to share.
This is a more personal and honest part of what I do. I run an image blog ± (Various Sources) on Tumblr, write a good old fashion blog .origami mon ami since 2006, and since recently publish a fashion fanzine Various Sources. All Brussels-based, I’m no globe-trotter, although I do explore the Northern part of the Old Continent with immense pleasure.
I want to share what I think, see, like, wear, buy, want, make, do, visit, love, know, discover, find, lose, keep, get, give, take, share…
